Contest Rules and Regulations

Welcome to Poemocean Poetry Contest

Entries will be accepted online starting on March 01, 2017 00:00:00 (IST) and ending March 31, 2017 23:59:59 (IST). All online entries must be received by March 31, 2017 23:59:59 (IST). The results of the 1st contest will be announced on April 15, 2017.

Agreement to Rules

By participating, the Contestant ("You") agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of PoemOcean as final and binding as it relates to the content of this contest.


Eligibility

The contest is only for India. Anyone who write poetry can participate in this contest. Your entry should be your own original work. Poem must be unpublished online. A person can submit as many poems as he/she wants but if he/she won multiple prizes then only one prize will be given. Contest entries must be 12 lines or more and have proper rhythm.


Language & Topic

Valid languages for entry are Hindi and English.

Topic:- Entry must be based on one of the following topics:

  1. Dulhan ko Vidai Shiksha (Bhai, Bahan, Maa, Pita ya kisi bhi rishtedar ki taraf se)
  2. Kids Poem on Summer Vacation (गर्मी की छुट्टियों पर बाल कविता)
  3. Farewell Poem for office Colleage (कार्यालय सहकर्मी की विदाई पर कविता)
  4. Farewell Poem for teacher from student (अध्यापक की विदाई पर विद्यार्थी की तरफ से कविता)
  5. Vaisakhi festival poem (वैसाखी त्यौहार पर कविता)


How to Enter

The contest must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided at http://www.poemocean.com/member/post-poem.html. The entry must fulfill all contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of PoemOcean.


Prizes

First Prize: Rs.1000 (1 winner)
Second Prize: Rs.500 to each winner (2 winners)
Consolation prize: Rs.100 to each winner (10 winners)

The first and second prize amount will be paid via NEFT or Paytm. The consolation prize will be paid only via Paytm.

No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for PoemOcean to use Winner's name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation.


Judging Process

Entries are judged anonymously. Please omit your name and all identifying information from your entry. Please also omit any publishing credits from your entry. Contest entries are judged based on voting. A poem have to get minimum 100 votes to qualify for the award. Winner declared by PoemOcean will be final and no more claims will be considered.

Terms & Conditions

PoemOcean reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond PoemOcean's control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the contest. In such case, PoemOcean may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by PoemOcean. PoemOcean reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. PoemOcean has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the contest, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering.
