Bharat ka yah sundar pakshi,
sabhi jagah mil jata.
Chin, Korea, Lanka se bhi,
iska abhinav naata.

Sar par kalagi rajaaon si,
chanchal roop suhaata.
rang dhawal hone ke kaaran,
doodhraj kehlata.

Kalabaaj jal premi pakshi,
jal se gehra naata.
bhar kar paani apne munh mein,
chakkar gol lagaata.

Vrikshon par yah kare basera,
keet-patangein laata.
aur hamesha ek vriksh ki,
ek daal par khata.

Petoo bachche bhookh-bhookh kah,
gala faad chillate.
isiliye kuchh chidiyon dwara,
pray maare jaate.
